This soil block/pot maker was made by Garvie of Isleworth in 1948.
If fairly damp graded soil was used, ideally straight from the steriliser, useful pots could be made for sowing seeds into or potting on seedlings. We used to use a smaller version on the Nursery for making pots for sweet peas, which was ideal as you could plant out the grown on plants with minimal root disturbance. Very eco friendly, no plastic pots!!

I bought one of these a few years ago for only a couple of , bargain. Certainly something a bit different and a good one to keep people guessing what it is.
