Hi, this is my new Wheel Horse, after scouring the country one turned up less than 10 miles from my house. As you can see it has seen better days, but looks a good honest machine under all the gunge and rust, hopefully my aim is to return it to a high standard, but may make a few alterations hear and there to suit my needs. The verdict is still out on the deck at the moment, i'll have to see how it responds to blasting.

You have a project on your hands there. The deck may survive but may need some plating after. Have you a need for a deck as this could always be restored at a later stage.

the deck has been patched in one place but the rest is prob ok, i'm going to restore it as a mini tractor first, it does look very rough but the main machine is actually structually sound, and ive been guaranteed it was in good working order 10-15 years ago when it was put away in the shed, i will be upgrading it to have lights as a job ive got in mind these would be usefull.I think its going to be a long project, but the price reflected that.

Does anyone know of a good source of supply for the tyres? as particuarly the rear ones have perished due to standing. 23x8.50-12 and 16x6.50-8

As can be seen the rear pannel is going to need a bit of straightening.

I need to find a supplier if anyone can help point me in the right direction, theres a few turf tyres on that auction website however i am leaning more towards the agri type havin of seen the wheelhorse project on youtube with them on.

I opted not to put turf tyres on the C-125 I owned. Made it look quite good and folk kept asking if it was four wheel drive!

Paint was CASE IH red. Will search for a tin with the paint number on it.

Yes it is all in the us but i find cariage can often be very reasonable these days  and is a good source of bits for these american projects.

I could also do with a good bonnet catch, i sold a scrapish bantam this morning so it will pay for the rear tyres, just need to find some other junk/goodies to pay for the front.

Well I wish I'd found one like that SG1, just the right base for a project, perfect!
Any more out there like that, preferably not hundreds of miles from the Midlands??
i/we look forward to it's progress no doubt,

I've just brought a horse, wheelhorse of course, but its a Raider 10 with Kohler 10hp engine and 6 speed trans.

It needs a new air filter and carb to engine gasket so i've been told.
I take they are both of similar power, as they both look the same, same engine but named different i think.

its the next size up, mines an 8  hp. For gaskets try the american e- bay, even after paying the extra shipping i found i could have 3 sets for the price of 1 in this country.

Been doing some research on the model number after the toro site came back with it being a b80, after talking to some wheelhorse fans in the us apparently the reason is in america it was called a b80 whereas in britain we were using pre 73 names hence this is called a commando 800 yet the toro site says commando 800's finished in 72 so it looks like it does have the correct decals afterall.hope this makes sense, its been a long day!

No problem they were about 50 each, 2 rear tyres 2 fronts and an inner tube for each tyre came to 190 and a few pence delivered, try the email address alan posted further up this project, very helpful firm and good service.
