I have two Tarpen 12" cutters , one the label describes it as a Tarpen Strand Hedge cutter, the other label states Tarpenflex Hedge trimmer, I cant see any difference apart from the former came with a Black covered flex shaft, and the Tarpen flex with the usual blue covered shaft.

Was there any difference ? or is it a simple name change?

They were all made by Tarpen, I'm not sure when the name changes took place, I have Tarpen Flex and Tarpen Strand equipment, also Heli Strand which was based at Rye in East Sussex.
