Hi, my daughter and her partner have bought one of these of Ebay. No engine fitted but they have since installed a Honda motor to the 3-speed gearbox and are making use of the truck.
My question is: what would the original engine/gearbox have been?
Cheers, Mark.

This Mallard, which was sold at Yesterday's Farming last year, looks like it has a Kohler engine...

That's the one...
It's one of those machines that doesn't seem to exist on Google except where they've been for sale.
Thanks for the photo. Anyone else know anything?

There were a number of similar machines about at that time and it got confusing because manufacturing rights were taken over by other companies.

I think a Honda engine may have been used with combinations of reliant gearbox and vauxhall rear axle

Yes, I googled that, with no result. I think you may be on the right track with the Reliant gearbox, but I think it only has 3 forward gears...
Still, a DB, pity it's not from Newport Pagnell.....
