Hi all the organiser's of the carnival have once again invited us back to do a small display again to help with the village charities so if anyone would like to come drop me a line and I will give you all the details.
Alsorts going on throughout the day and finnishing in the evening with a torchlit carnival with all different societies coming from all over Sussex to support if you ve never seen one of our carnivals they are great and my old home village of Rotherfield dates to the dooms day book so a lot of historyaround the village.
There will also be a very fine firework display at the end .
So if your about why not join the festivities.

Talking to steve d today at Kingsfold regarding Rotherfield we are talking about a lawn care themed display, so a few machines may come out that have not seen the light of day yet this year...

Thank you to paul mackellow , , the showman, don and phylis, and phil murrell for coming to support .
A very relaxed day just a couple of hiccups. But on the whole all went well finnished the day really well with the grand torchlit procession and probably one of the best fireworks display s in sussex.

My Cyclone spreader and Qualcast B1 mower had also not seen the light of day for a while so it was nice to show some different items in the collection.

The little black and decker was also first time out and found the same morning in my mums neighbours old shed ive also been given there old suffolk seventeen inch which I rebuilt whilst I was doing my apprenticeship in the late eighties .I know some may frown on the black and decker but how many of these cheap little plastic mowers actually remain ? Its the same as the old reliable suffolks you see more dumped at the tips these days and there slowly disappearing . But the classic machine we all remember and have all probably used.

It's a bit like the Mountfield mower that s1g found a while ago, they were common in their day and seen as disposable, so any survivors now are rare and worth keeping hold of... providing you have shed space !!
