The new website is scheduled to go live on Monday 14th October.
If you have already registered for the new site you will get an e mail telling you your password.
User IDs and passwords from the old forum WILL NOT be transferred to the new site and it will be necessary to register via the 'sign up for FREE trial' link.
The old forum will still be available via a link from the new site, but please use the new forum for all new topics.

Still unable to log in to the new forum. Saying username, password and email all not recognised!!
What is the correct web address for it, I have the one with "development " in it - is that the problem?
Googeling  VHGMC only brings up this (old) forum.
Charlie says that he can log in using my details and that it must be something at my end  but everything else/all other forums  work ok so don't know!
Any ideas?

You should be redirected to the new site if you use your old bookmark for the old site. Make sure your computer is not storing an incorrect password, clear cache/history.
If you want a new password send me a pm on old site.

Yes,  that makes sense as I managed to log on using Chrome instead of my usual Firefox and now my old Firefox short cut is taking me straight to the new site!
Thanks

We could only get the old forum so logged in using chrome and them went back and used the link saved on favourites. Not easy to navigate but i'm sure once we get used to it, it will seem as easy as the old one.

Just a thought is there any way you can transfer say the last 30 days worth of activity onto the new forum so that we have some continuity on current topics. Thus bringing members of the old forum over to the new one with topics they can comment on.

Seems an utter shambles , with so many (myself included) having problems.
Could a simple link or something be put up.

Andy.

Hi Charlie

Good to see the new website up and running although a shame that some users are having problems getting into it.   I have just few comments so far:

~ the Gallery appears to be missing unless it's just me being blind? It was on the trial website. I was looking forward to using this.
~ our personal sign-off at the bottom of Posts does not appear to be available, or is it just tucked away somewhere?
~ I agree with the wider comment from many members that it may help transition if some of the more recent active posts are transferred to the new website?

I don't envy you the task you have ahead sorting everyone out on the site and this after all you've done already. Good luck!

Regards
Steve

Not a great start i'm afraid chaps, tried to log in to new site and site said invalid username, tried to sign up using Both chrome and explorer and wouldn't let me use existing username or email addy, HELP
i don't want to pour scorn on the members who have worked so hard on the new site but your going to have to make it a lot easier guys for existing members to transfer over and start to use the new site it clearly has trouble recognizing existing members details .

It is a pity so many members are having problems, it would have helped if they had followed advice in issue 89 of The Cultivator and pre registered.
We are looking at all the issues, please keep trying. If you are having problems with user id and password I will need details in a pm.

Just a thought.
How many of you that are having problems have the forum as a bookmark/favourite rather than the website front page www.vhgmc.co.uk. This might explain why you are not getting redirected to the new site.

Well, I'm in.

I pre registered, got the email with the new log in password, typed in the address as opposed to using my bookmark, and away I went!

Have to say the new site looks very professional, a tribute to all involved, thanks chaps!

Persevere fellow members, you'll love it when you get there!

kpthorsefan, you had entered your e mail address incorrectly with an uppercase K at the start and left out bt I have sent correct details to the web team.

You will either have selected your own or will have received an email with it in. I do not know what your password is. Alternatively if neither of those options work try the lost password option when you try logging in, this should create a new password and send you an e mail with it in.
