hi all. have started a new project on the NEW forum. its rather a odd piece but you know me never say no. go see it now and if you can put some input in I would be gratefull.

vote of confidence appreciated. have got a flooding carb its an amal and do you know how the float comes out of the fuel bowl ? open to all for answers.

As far as I can remember the float needle pulls out from the bottom of the bowl, it is retained by a clip, then the float will lift out.

ohh that's why there seems to be resistance when I tried to remove with the long nosed pliers, well done.

theres a possibility,but only if the wheelhorse,ransomes and atco rotary fail to start [IMG]smileys/smiley20.gif" align="middle" /> [IMG]smileys/smiley14.gif" align="middle" />
Went out for a steak last week and I think there could be an extra earner with this tool I have just acquired.might just mention it to the owner of the resteraunt that if he wants his steaks tenderising I have the tool to do it. |

can anyone date the engine for me ? the number is clear to see in the photos. sorted out the flooding carb,then after twenty minutes of running the engine stopped. no spark present so its now got an internal ign problem. WELL it must be due something in there they do not go forever. [IMG]smileys/smiley21.gif" align="middle" />

Hi John as far as I can tell the factory records were destroyed in about 2000. However if you look on the flywheel then there will almost certainly be a date stamped on it.
